Specialist in the study of the following subjects: slavery, manumission, French Caribbean, history of African and African descent women in America and the Caribbean, Afro-American and Afro-Caribbean culture. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil), conducting research on slavery, motherhood, and pro-natalist policies from a gender and social history perspective and from a transnational approach which involves the French and English Antilles and Brazil.
